A young, active family purchased this property in Brookline while living abroad and hired SKA to help them bring it up to modern-day standards. The original kitchen was sorely lacking in natural light. SKA’s solution was to open up the kitchen to the dining room, allowing for natural views through the two rooms and into the backyard, which abuts a park. The basement was finished and an extended staircase was constructed, and the third floor was redone to accommodate a master suite. The second floor was also completely redesigned.
